Ⅰ. Equipped with advanced micro-Spray Coating Applicators
micro-Spray Coating Systems of TMCM16A is fundamentally equipped with MCAF-gun and/or MCAS-gun which are TTnS coating applicators for various thin-film application, as standard. we normally recommend that the photo-resist coating into micro-cavities(such via-holes) adopts MCAF micro-spraying gun and the solder-mask coating into similar via-holes adopts MCAS pulse controlled spiral-spraying gun since it is fairly ideal for 3D microstructures such via-holes in terms of high penetration, better coverage and uniformity at minimal overspray due to the pulse spraying effect. Also these coating applicators comprise micro-adjuster in the upper body to ensure precise needle open-up by several micrometers scale of displacement.

MEMS (Micro Electro Mechanical Systems)
MEMS are intelligent, ultra-miniaturized 3D devices consisting of micro-electronic components and micro-mechanical, optical or micro-optical components. MEMS technology is a fast-growing field and is used in consumer applications such as cell-phones, digital cameras and laptops.
What and why WLP (wafer level packaging) application?
Advanced IC packaging has progressed from simple encapsulation to protect the chip from the outside world. Wafer level packaging (WLP) is a technology in which all steps of IC packaging are performed at wafer level prior to singulation. In recent years, many new electronic packaging applications have pushed the limits for weight, size, reliability, cost and high-speed performance. These new packaging methods enable the production of ICs with reduced cost, lower power consumption and higher performance. Processes for the fabrication of 3D microstructures are commonly found in the field of new advanced IC packaging such as pressure sensors, weight sensors, micro mirrors and multiple other devices.
How do TTnS make thin-film in via-holes?
The Original, pulse/non-pulse assists, micro spray coating technologies and experiences by TTnS have been increasingly spotlighted out of MEMS and advanced IC packaging. With both TTnS exclusive thin-film coating applicators, NCAS_pulse assist spiral spray gun and MCAF_micro spray gun, in addition to the micro spray coating systems of TMCM16A which provides a laminar air-flow (PAT. 0889331) coating environment, we were able to accomplish very fine optimal coating films specifically on the challenging structures such as micro cavities with angled corners.

Photo-resist micro spray coating in via-holes / WLP
Cost of the photo-resist coating process is a major component of the cost of ownership in semiconductor manufacturing. Minimizing the volume of resist used in coating applications results in lower manufacturing costs by reducing both chemical consumption and waste disposal costs. Coating with spin, spray and electro-deposition methods have been used in the fabrication of MEMS. The volume of resist material consumed in a spin coater is much higher than that of TTnS micro spray coating system, resulting in higher cost per wafer. For the more, the conventional spin coater can hardly respond to the specific requirements out of challenging 3D structures such micro cavities with angled corners. The volume of resist used in spray coating can be controlled by several parameters, such as layer thickness and the solids content of the resist solution. EMI.RFI (Electromagnetic Interference, Radio Frequency Interference)
It is to protect sensitive circuits with converted shielding materials. In order to eliminate electronic inference from one electronic device to another, Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) and/or Radio Frequency Interference (RFI) shields suppress internal signals, protect devices from outside signals.
What and why EMI.RFI Shielding Application?
The problem of electromagnetic interference (EMI) has deepened continuously due to the growth of the miniaturization degree and switching speed of electronic devices and to the extensive application of these electronic devices in military, industrial, and commercial areas. Consequently, the interest for an effective shielding of these interferences increased and this is achieved by using the materials that, according to application, must have certain electric and/or magnetic and mechanical properties. The figure of merit for the shielding capability of a material is the electromagnetic shielding effectiveness [SE] defined as the ratio of the incident energy to energy transmitted through the shield.
How do TTnS make Heterogeneous solids-mixture Layers on IC Chips and/or PCBA?
TTnS unique coating technology, specially developed for heterogeneous solids-mixture coatings by aids of NCAS atomized spray gun, NCAF non-atomized film gun which are both backed by a pulse action, has completed the performance of so fine and uniform layers of functional, protective materials. TTnS patented, mechanical vibration of the gun plunger effectively disperses particles in suspension and produces very uniform dispersion of particles in thin film layers without conductive particle settling out of suspension.

Pulse assist, spiral spray coating technology offers a cost-effective alternative to costly sputtering-based coating systems for package level EMI (Electromagnetic Interference) shielding processes. High performance silver flakes, nickel, copper of EMI shielding materials are applied with fully automated inline TMCM16A coating systems under laminar air down-draft environment (TTnS Patent) in addition to TTnS patented high-power particles diffusion. This enables to accomplish very uniform EMI shielding films and excellent coating coverage even on the recessed areas at minimum systems contamination.
