TTnS Inc. have solved the long-standing bubble issue with conformal coatings on printed circuit boards and other materials thus yielding successful transparent film production with no impact on actual throughput (UPH).
ECO series Oven, TTnS patented
The fully automated, electric-powered, convection cure oven completes a conformal coating production line and yields bubble-free and highly transparent coating films for inline mass production. In addition, with our unique focused convection technique, ECO series also provides significant efficiencies in electrical energy savings, and greatly reduces floor space needs on the shop floor. With our user and environment friendly solution, using standard magazines and PCB handlers, the ECO series quickly becomes the curing oven of choice amongst the world’s leading electronics manufacturers.

This TTnS Exclusive curing oven is a magazine-based system for maximum production throughput and reduced floor space. The first magazine of coated boards is stacked and then repeats the cycle as programmed. The system can easily cure all solvent based materials such as acrylics, urethanes, silicones, and rubber resins. Using a focused convection heating technique, utilizing precise SCR temperature control, and a wide-screen advanced touch program interface, the ECO series oven delivers a bubble-free solution, with a minimum of 50% energy and working space savings in a fully automated, inline circuit board coating process which meets all US and EU safety standards.

Ⅰ. Electric-powered, Convection Focused Heating
The ECO99C, 120C is a fully automated, electric-powered, and focused heat convection oven which controls the temperature precisely using a SCR unit within the range of +/-3.5℃. The circulating hot air flow of 20-30CMM creates three equally divided hot-turbulent-air-streams with 8-12 (turnovers). The air streams selectively wrap around the magazines while in the oven. Consequently, the system only heats the physical oven space that is around the magazines. Energy is not wasted in heating the remainder of the oven chamber. With this unique technique, energy consumption is reduced by more than 50% Additionally, this technique also substantially improves solvent flash-off.

Ⅱ. Magazine-based Curing creates a Bubble-free Solution
How the System works : From a central control signal, a fully stacked magazine of coated boards moves into the curing oven and cycles on an RS40 chain conveyor using an encoder. The next magazine begins loading with coated boards and, when full, it moves into the oven behind the first magazine. This mechanism provides for continuous high production run rate as well as securing time for an appropriate solvent flash interval. This technique allows for bubble-free coatings at a high production rate.

Ⅲ. Better Working Conditions: User & Environment Friendly
The ECO series oven has been developed by focusing on easy operation & maintenance, compact design for lower capital investments and running cost, self-diagnosis of any potential errors, high curing performance, and safety. The system operator programs the oven using the wide-vision touch-screen found on the electrical control cabinet. After electric power is connected, the system operator may download new parameters as desired and select any necessary commands from the main menu. The system can monitor and display the operational status of the machine in real time.

Ⅳ. Free Knocked-down, Housing Structure with Advanced Insulation-Panels
The frame of ECO series oven is fabricated with knocked-down Aluminum panels and uses very thin 45(mm) ceramic insulation panels that are a TTnS exclusive design. These panels guarantee minimal heat transfer loss despite being half as thick as compared to traditional panels.

Ⅴ. Safety Interlocks in the System
The ECO series convection curing oven, like all TTnS products, has been developed with system safety as a top priority. While the system is running, safety detection is active at all times. If any system error or unexpected action is detected, the ECO series oven displays the error message and appropriate troubleshooting information on the system window along with sounding an audible buzzer and blinking on the control tower.
